Below is sample of the dishes that can be found on the Pundits Menu.

Remember, Sultan and his staff will be happy to vary dishes according to taste and cook dishes not on the menu subject to availability.

Starters

   
Rashun Sothrakh

Sliced mushrooms, gently cooked with garlic and herbs.
Piazi
Sliced onions freshly mixed with ground herbs, potatoes and lentils - deep fried to a crisp golden brown.
Aloo Chops
Spicy potatoes mashed and coated with egg and breadcrumbs to a golden croquette.
Maas Biran
A river waters of Bangladesh: white chunks of fish delicately and aromatically spiced.
Marinated Coley
Coley fillet marinated with yoghurt & herbs, shallow fried .
Chingri Sothrakh
Prawns and mushrooms tinged with garlic and spices, stuffed into half a grilled pepper.
Paneer'er Jadhu
Home made Bangladeshi cheese, baked on a skewer with green peppers, onions and tomatoes.
Baghada Chingri Poori
Farmed Bengali tiger prawns cooked medium or spicy to your taste, and served on a puffed puree bread.
Chicken Tikka
Chicken marinaded for 12 to 18 hours and cooked in the tandoori clay oven, served with a side salad. rare opportunity to sample fish from the sweet.
Thethul Murgh
Breast of chicken cooked in a tasty sauce of tamarind, a sweet sour fruit from Bangladesh. 
    

Main Courses

  
Most dishes are available with chicken, lamb, tiger prawn, Bengali fish and vegetables.

Pudina Roshun (medium & sour)
Mint sauce, fresh garlic and fried tomatoes are used in this particular dish to give it a new tangy taste. Making this a must for sour curry lovers.
Shathkora (medium)
Shathkora is a citrus fruit which grows seasonally in only a small area of Bangladesh. It has a very distinctive aroma and gives a tasty piquance to this medium spiced dish.
Tripura's Keema Massalla (medium & spicy)
A recipe favoured by the emperors of the tripura kingdom using the finest minced lamb and chillies to form a fine rich sauce. 
Talk Jal Mishty (hot, sweet and sour)
A mixture of chillies, fresh honey and tomatoes, slowly melted down to a deliciously hot, sweet and sour sauce. 
Tandoori Duck Masalla (medium & spicy)
A rare chance to sample duck in a Bangladeshi restaurant. Marinated duck breast cooked in the tandoori to reduce fat and later cooked with cinamon, bay leaves & tamarind.

Highly recommended for first timers to Bangladeshi food and groups, affording everyone a taste of a wonderful selection of dishes that vary in strength of heat & spices. Our very special banquet will be discussed with you first to ascertain your tastes and then expertly prepared  by our super chefs for you to enjoy.

We have a large selection of the famous Balti dishes to suit all tastes on a separate menu which is available on request.
   

   Festival Dishes

    
As in most cultures the best of cooking is served for festival and celebratory events. In Bangladesh this constitutes using plenty of dairy produced and natural flavour enhancers such as cashew and pistachio and rare herbs saved for special occasions.

Most dishes are available with chicken, lamb, Tiger Prawn, Bengali fish and vegetables.

Khurma - mild
This dish is a subtle blend of coconut and sultanas with fresh cream, a dish for all grand occasions.
Akhinee - mild/medium
A truly majestic dish, a mix of long grain pilou rice with your choice of poultry, fish or vegetables, stir fried with selected light spices and garnished with sliced tomatoes & cucumbers. Served with a mixed vegetable bhuna side dish. A 'birany' style of dish.
Korai Specials - medium/spicy 
A unique dish from the east. Perfectly balanced moderately spiced with green peppers, onions, tomatoes & lemon juice. A good dish for medium food lovers.
South Bangladeshi Naga Morchi Massalla - extremely hot - order if you dare!
Naga Morchi is a very fiery hot chilli from Bangladesh.  Not recommended for the faint hearted.
